Independence Day

Independence day scripts a red-letter day in the history of India when the country got its freedom on August 15, 1947. Indian citizens celebrate this day every year with great pomp and show. On this auspicious day, to enjoy the blessings of freedom and to do our part as a citizen of India, we celebrated it in a grandeur manner Independence day. The event commenced with a prayer song by our choir teachers to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.

The National flag was unfurled by our Principal Mrs.Suganya Sivamani, who addressed the gathering on the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take a pledge that we would serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds. Valuable expressive speeches were delivered by our language department teachers focusing on the indispensable need of being independent and expressing the struggles faced by our freedom fighters. They stressed a significant point that we, the Indians should follow their footprints in the sands of time. All the teaching and non-teaching staff gathered in the playground. Games such as lucky corner and Target game were conducted for the staff members. In the end, sweets were distributed to the teachers and visitors.
