77th Independence Day Celebration

       On the auspicious occasion of the 77th Independence Day, the atmosphere at Dr.GSK Matric School was brimming with patriotic fervor and unity. The day commenced with a soul-stirring prayer that invoked blessings for the nation and its people. The welcome address by the school principal set the tone for the event, emphasizing the significance of the day.

       The highlight of the event was the felicitation of the esteemed chief guest Mr.Arun.V.S-Subedar-Major-NCC,Kumbakonam, whose accomplishments and contributions were lauded by the school . The chief guest's address was an inspiring ode to the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and a call to uphold the values they fought for and advised the students to abstain from alcohol and drugs.

          The speeches in Tamil and English by the students of grade IX and XI respectively, showcased the diversity of our nation and the spirit of unity that binds us. A multilingual speech by the student of grade IX was a testament to the school's commitment to foster linguistic harmony and inclusivity. The patriotic English drama performed by the students resonated deeply, reminding everyone of the struggles and triumphs that have shaped our nation's journey.

        The Bharatham dance performed by the kids with graceful moves and traditional costumes beautifully captured India's cultural essence. The collective voices of the student choir reverberated through the air as they sang a heartwarming group song, stirring up emotions of pride and unity.
