National Mathematics Day -2023

National Mathematics Day -2023

On 22nd December every year, we celebrate National Mathematics Day, an occasion marked since 2012 to honour the legacy of the mathematical genius, Srinivasa Ramanujan. This day was established by the then Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, paying tribute to Ramanujan's birth anniversary.

At Dr. GSK Matric, National Mathematics Day is a platform dedicated to ignite the spark of mathematical curiosity among young minds, aiming to nurture future Ramanujams. The event features a series of programs meticulously crafted around Ramanujan's remarkable contributions. From exploring conjectures to diving into prime numbers, Soldner constant, theta functions, magic squares, Roger's identities, and the master theorem, students were made to immerse in the world of Ramanujan's creations.

Guided by the Principal, coordinators, and the Head of Mathematics, students were encouraged to deepen their interest in mathematics. They are challenged to embark on a journey to prove unexplored theorems of this mathematical legend, fostering a spirit of exploration, innovation, and mathematical excellence.
