Dr. G.S. Kalyanasundaram Matriculation Higher Secondary School accredited to Directorate of Matriculation Schools, Tamil Nadu, was founded in the year 2000, to educate the rural population. It continues its journey placing several landmarks in the field of education.  The school started with 54 students, now caters 1550 students. It stands unique in Nagai District with its distinct curriculum and exceptional activities towards the overall development of the students and thereby has enrolled itself as one of the sought after schools.

Our chairman Shri. G. K. Ramamurthy a successful entrepreneur, a keen philanthropist has instituted Dr. G.S.K. in memory of his father Dr. G. S. Kalyanasundaram, in his home town Pazhaya Gudalur. Proudly, we can introduce our school as a Non Profit school, to our knowledge, all over India.

It is governed by the charitable trust (GKR foundation) run by our chairman who has channelized his personal fortunes in programs in Education, health care and other important socio-cultural causes.  The school is steadily marching towards its desired goal.
